Ongoing

How the apps get made

They begin as tools for keeping track of the everyday: what you eat, what you weigh, how you feel. That kind of record tends to scatter across notebooks, spreadsheets and apps that come and go, so the aim is something steadier that stays yours.

They are built largely by vibe coding: working with AI to get from an idea to a finished, polished app much faster than by hand. It is an ongoing experiment in how far that can go.

Everything is built on open standards: Apple Health for your data, plain files you can open anywhere, and open data such as the USDA and Open Food Facts tables. Your data stays readable outside the apps, so if one ever stops working for you, you can take everything with you.

What every Tambour app promises

There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and nothing goes through Tambour servers. Your data stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. Balanced and Waves export all of it as a plain file at any time. The details are in each app's privacy policy.
