Cadence privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Cadence has no accounts, no servers of ours, no advertising and no analytics. Your habits stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.

What Cadence keeps

All of this syncs between your iPhone, iPad and Mac through your private iCloud database. We never receive it.

Apple Health

Cadence uses Apple Health only for habits you set up to count from Health, and asks for access for each one. It works on iPhone, where Health lives.

Apple Health days in iCloud. So your iPad and Mac, which can't read Apple Health, can show your Health habits, Cadence saves each Health habit's daily totals (for example "8,000 steps on 1 November") to your private iCloud database. Nothing else from Health is saved there. You can turn this off in Settings › Sync › Apple Health days, which also deletes those totals from iCloud. Health data is never sent to us or anyone else, and never used for advertising.

Widgets, links and imports

When you check off a habit from a widget, Control Center, Shortcuts, Siri or a cadence:// link, the change is handled on your device like a tap in the app, then synced through your iCloud. Widgets and the fasting Live Activity read the app's data on your device; there are no push notifications or servers of ours.

A habit's link opens the app, shortcut or web address you set, only when you tap it, and Cadence sends nothing along. Importing from Streaks or TickTick reads the file you pick, on your device.

What Cadence never does

Deleting your data

Deleting a habit in Cadence removes it on all your devices. Deleting Cadence removes its data from that device. To remove the synced copy too, delete Cadence's data from iCloud in the Settings app, under your name, iCloud, then Manage Storage. Anything Cadence wrote to Apple Health stays there until you delete it in the Health app.
