Tempo

Tempo privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Tempo has no accounts, no servers of ours, no advertising and no analytics. The timer stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and your tasks stay in Apple Reminders.

What Tempo keeps

Tempo keeps no history of past timers. The current timer syncs between your devices through your private iCloud database. We never receive it.

Apple Reminders

If you allow it, Tempo uses your reminders as its task list.

Your reminders stay in Reminders and sync the way Reminders does. The only thing from them that reaches Tempo's own iCloud record is the current timer's task name, when you picked a reminder for it.

Shortcuts, Siri and links

When you start, pause or stop Tempo from Shortcuts, Siri or a tempo:// link, the request is handled on your device like a tap in the app. Opening a task's link opens it in the app it belongs to.

Connecting other apps (Mac)

On the Mac, other apps on the same computer, such as Super Productivity, can start and follow Tempo's timer through a local connection that only that computer can reach. Tempo also tells them when the timer changes. Nothing leaves the computer. You can turn this off in Tempo's settings.

Webhook. If you paste a web address into the Mac's webhook setting, Tempo sends every timer change, including the task name, to that address. It's off until you add one, and the address is yours to choose. This is the only network request Tempo makes besides iCloud.

What Tempo never does

Deleting your data

Deleting Tempo removes its data from that device; your reminders stay in Reminders. To remove the synced timer too, delete Tempo's data from iCloud in the Settings app, under your name, iCloud, then Manage Storage.
